Milton Farmers Market

Saturday Sept 28,  7am-12pm
Downtown Main Street, Milton

The 2019 Milton Farmers’ Market will open on Saturday, May 18 and run until October 12 from 7:00 am – 12:00 am on Main Street in Downtown Milton.
Nestled in the foot of the scenic Niagara Escarpment, the Milton Farmers’ Market has been bringing farm-fresh goodness and old-fashioned hospitality to Main Street, in downtown Milton, since 1972. Our farmers proudly display “picked fresh this morning” produce and the streets come alive with artisans and flower vendors. The Milton Chamber of Commerce operates the weekly Saturday morning event from May through October and is one of Ontario’s best outdoor Farmers’ Markets. This year the Market will host over 40 vendors on Main Street.
Come stroll and visit the many farmers, vendors, florists and artisans from the Milton area. Bring your shopping list to choose from…

Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. At the end of each September, millions of people attend thousands of participatory arts and culture events across the country. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities. The Culture Days organization supports a Canada-wide network of arts, culture, and heritage organizers to facilitate free public events in their communities every year during the Culture Days weekend. Arts Milton presents an award-winning Milton Culture Days program and has been number one in our population category for two years running.

Milton Fall Fair

Sept 27, 28, 29
Milton Fair Grounds
136 Robert Street, Milton

The fair comes to town from September 27th to 29th this year, beginning with Youth Day on Friday. Fair organizers consider this special preview of the agricultural fair for children extremely important in helping to build a relationship between farmers and consumers.
It’s a chance for children to learn where their food comes from as the farmland around the town where they live continues to be eaten up by development.
Children are often awe-struck, perhaps seeing farm animals up close for the first time or learning where milk actually comes from and how a cow is milked. All weekend long there are kid-friendly events including dog agility shows, the 4-H Club’s rabbit hopping agility course, children’s pedal tractor pull, and pet show along with displays of children’s art, crafts and photography. Horse events and shows run each of the three days providing a showcase for jumpers, barrel racers and more.
